Sara Vann graduated with honors from Emory University School of Law in 2004, earning membership in the Order of the Coif and serving as an editor of the Emory Law Journal. Ms. Vann is admitted to practice in all state courts in Georgia, as well as the Northern District of Georgia.
From 2004 to mid-2006, Ms. Vann worked in a law firm commercial litigation practice, including employment, contract and fraud issues.
In May, 2006, Ms. Vann joined Bothwell Bracker & Vann to focus her practice on False Claims Act qui tam relator whistleblower actions. Ms. Vann has participated in several local and national workshops and training sessions on qui tam relator litigation. In a fairly short time, Ms. Vann has utilized her tremendous problem solving skills as well as her experience and understanding of FCA law to articulate cutting edge arguments that have succeeded in overcoming various misinterpretations of the FCA. Ms. Vann has honed her skills in part by participating heavily in the firm’s appellate practice as well as the firm’s pro bono amicus practice. Ms. Vann has exceptional research and writing skills that have served the firm well in handling litigation before both appellate courts and trial courts as well. Ms. Vann has also been lead, sole, or co-counsel in cases including resolution of those cases in mediation to the great satisfaction of her clients.
